ACRi CFD Software Application Areas

Between the 4 flagship CFD suites ANSWER™, PORFLOW™, TIDAL™ and RADM™, there is virtually no physical fluid-flow / heat transfer / mass transport phenomena that an ACRi software cannot handle. From electronics cooling to acoustics, HVAC design to nuclear waste management, ACRi software has been applied in hundreds of areas, sometimes in industries that surprise even us, the creators of the software.

The problem you have at hand may involve gas or liquid flow in or around a solid body, or through a porous/fractured medium. There may be heat transfer from fluid to solid body in question. There may be mass transport. Air may be mixing and reacting with fuel in an Internal Combustion Engine or in a Gas Turbine Engine. The flow may be radically turbulent, or it may be in higher Mach Numbers. You may be after a simple solution of flow around a cylinder, or you may want to design a HVAC&R system for that new building. No matter what your objectives and application areas are, there is probably a software suite that ACRi develops and markets, which costs thousands of dollars less than the competition. (Did we mention that the prices for our software are clearly posted? Visit the web sites of other software vendors in CFD field, and you will realize that it is refreshingly uncommon)

ACRi Software Family consists of the following CFD Solver Suites:

ANSWER™ -- our General Purpose CFD solver. Unlike the other 3, it is designed as a general Navier-Stokes solver, and has the widest range of applications. See a detailed list of ANSWER™ Applications. ANSWER™ is being delivered as CFDStudio/ANSWER™.

PORFLOW™ -- Flow in Porous/Fractured Media. Ground Water Flow and Nuclear Waste Management are two of the prominent fields that PORFLOW is used. See a detailed list of PORFLOW™ Applications. PORFLOW™ is being marketed as CFDStudio/PORFLOW.

TIDAL™ -- simulates the hydrodynamics and water quality behavior of large scale water bodies such as bays, estuaries, rivers, lakes and coastal waters. Simulation of tides, waves and even possibly 150-meter high Tsunami's (and their potentially disastrous effects) is performed using TIDAL™. See TIDAL™ main page for more details.

RADM™ -- a Random-Walk computational model for simulation of dispersion processes in turbulent fluids. A very common application of RADM is in air-pollution studies. See RADM main page for more details.
